August Smart Lock Failure:  Weiser Smart Key Deadbolt with an August Smart Lock on installed on the inside of the door. The August Lock had failed and the Weiser deadbolt would not open from the outside. Unfortunately, the only way into the Condo was the only via the front door with the combination Weiser Deadbolt / August Lock. I had to drill the mounting screws to remove the deadbolt and the August Lock.

Here is a Smart Key Deadbolt with an August Smart Lock on the other side. It is totally jammed, total failure. Opening the August lock this is not going to be pretty opening this. Just drilled the two holes and are going to drill the mounting screws. Drilled the two screws now we are going to drill the two screws they just found them we’ll drill them have fun Drill the lock I could hear the August lock fall on the inside. Going to open the door for the customer.

Okay we are in, the August lock failed for whatever reason we drilled it open. Not going to replace it with an August but install a Schlage deadbolt, one of my favorites.
